Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home with a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and click here not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
